Jane Eyre is one of my favourite books and I loved the National Theatre production, which was streamed on youtube at the start of lockdown, so I was very excited to find out there was another production, especially as it was Blackeyed Theatre, who adapted The Strange Tale of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde so brilliantly for the stage.

Available until: This is quite confusing. Once you start watching it, you have to finish it within 72 hours. But you can start watching it anytime between now and 3^rd February 2021. I’d guess that’s the last date to purchase it too.

Warning: Violence/ murder.

This isn’t an easy watch, any more than the book is an easy read. But it’s an excellent adaption which brings the story vividly to life and makes it very difficult for us simply to watch and accept what happens. It asks questions; difficult questions about right and wrong, good and evil, yet all the time, it shows us characters who are human beings.
