TOLL BOOTH (Vimeo)*****

By Cal

Available until: Unknown

Toll Booth is an award-winning film which isn’t strictly theatre, but I found it through a streaming site so that’s good enough for me. More than good enough.

Terry has a new job working in a toll booth. He’s worked in a toll booth before so he knows what it’s all about. He’s never worked in a toll booth with scary rumours before, but as long as they are just rumours, there’s really no need to worry… is there?

IMAGINARY FRIEND (360/365 Film Festival)****

By Aashiq

Available until: Unknown

This isn’t a play and it wasn’t filmed in lockdown, but I’m reviewing it anyway because it’s written by Reece Dinsdale and I adore him as Albert in Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime (the old series from the 80s which is really good, not the David Walliams monstrosity). Well worth a watch. After you’ve watched Imaginary Friend

THE AMAZING VANCETTI SISTERS (Tristan Bates Theatre)****

Available until: It’s been available since 2011

I really like plays with disabled characters in. It makes me feel better to know people like me are worth writing plays about. I especially like it when they’re written by Athena Stevens. Partly because she is disabled too but mostly because she is a really good playwright. I know I can’t write as well as she does but she makes me feel like I can do interesting things too.

LOUISE DEARMAN CONCERT (UR Live at the Umbrella Rooms)*****

By Imogen

Link: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/louisedearman (You will need to create an account and pay £10 but you get access for a week)

Available until: You can rent it for a week but I think it will be available to rent for at least a month because they’ve got an Oliver Tompsett concert on there from about a month ago (which I’m glad about because I want to see it, he’s hot)

This concert is £10 for a week’s access which would be a lot if I had to pay it but I didn’t and the concert would cost a lot more if you went in person and this way you don’t have to pay for transport which might be full of germy people or a really expensive meal which is really nice but everyone’s taking their masks off and how do you know where they’ve been? Why can’t people just be responsible like me? I haven’t been on a date since March, that’s FIVE MONTHS. I don’t think I’ve ever gone that long without kissing a boy in my WHOLE LIFE. It’s a terrible sacrifice but I have to do the right thing for humanity.
