Putting a Face On is a really sad and moving monologue, but I think it is also a hopeful and inspiring monologue. It’s also a really important monologue because it draws your attention to a lot of things which people don’t realise. I know that’s a bit vague, but I don’t want to give anything away.

The radio play The Fishermen is based on the play of that name by Gbolahan Obisesan which is based on the book of that name by Chigozie Obioma. The play was staged by New Perspectives Theatre Company and then had a run in London at the Trafalgar Studios. Recently, the cast was reunited and a new production was produced for Radio 3. I understand some changes were made for the radio audience, but these were minimal and I think they were made more to clarify the story rather than to alter it.

There are many ways in which Hysterical! A Hilarious History of Hysteria might be described. It could be described as ‘hilarious’ though it resonated so personally with my own emotional and physical pain, I personally didn’t find it amusing, though it is undeniably witty.

The Musical Theatre Academy is a drama school in London which has been named Stage School of the Year twice. Something Old, Something New is a showcase for the graduating class of 2021 but all the students feature.

Some Girl I Used to Know was inspired by the film of Shirley Valentine. I’ve never seen it but Sophie said the play was good so I read it and it is really good. I wouldn’t say I identify with it exactly because Shirley is quite a lot older than me but she’s a really great character and a nice person and when actors started filming monologues I did think how nice it would be if one of the theatres put on Shirley Valentine.
