60 second Shakespeare is performed by Abey Bradbury and she performs all three of the Shakespeare plays above in about 60 seconds. The videos are a bit longer but if you take out the credits it’s about 60 seconds.

I don’t think it is really supposed to be an introduction for people who didn’t know the plays. It would be quite hard to follow. But if you know the plays you can tell who all the characters are and what is happening from what they are saying. I don’t think I would have been able to understand before lockdown but I have seen quite a lot of Shakespeare now.

Not all of the characters appear but all the ones who are an important part of the plot do. Ms Bradbury plays all the characters and she has a different costume for each one. She is really good. She is very funny and she performs the plays a bit like a comedy but at the same time she is playing the characters like they are supposed to be and you can see she is a really good actor.

The language is a mixture of famous quotes which most Shakespeare fans know (and some which lots of other people know without realising where it is from), other moments from the play which have been translated into modern English and some bleeping when the characters swear at each other. It is very funny.

There only seem to be 3 videos at the moment but if Ms Bradbury uploads more I will definitely watch them.
